The modular wall system made of wood
Smart Bricks are prefabricated cross-layer solid wood modules that can be assembled like a plug-in system for exterior walls and load-bearing or non-load-bearing interior walls. The system has already been successfully installed in over 110,000 m² of wall space and is suitable for single-family homes, multi-storey residential buildings and applications in the agricultural, commercial and municipal sectors.

The house has a construction area of 230 m². A total of 615 m² of SmartBrick wooden blocks were used for the walls, plus 435 m² of floor/ceiling elements and roof structures.
This house was built in just 16 days.
The building system consists of precisely coordinated modules that are joined together in layers to form walls. A special plug-in bond ensures stability – even at corners and wall connections. Cables can be laid in the integrated cavities, and coordinated modules for sleepers, lintels and closures round off the system. Due to the small size and low weight, delivery is also possible to construction sites that are difficult to access without truck access.
The system also meets high technical requirements: With our standard wall structure, which consists of an ETICS system, the unfilled smart brick and an internal plasterboard/gypsum fibreboard, we achieve a sound insulation of Rw > 47 dB. For increased sound insulation requirements, a wall structure with an internal facing shell can be used, which achieves a sound insulation of > 55 dB. Fire protection is at REI30 and above. Up to five-storey buildings can be erected from the smart bricks.
